How will I get to camp once i park my car?

We will pick you and your party up at Pine Point at our prearranged time in our-deep water                                                                  boat. When you arrive in Thunder Bay or Kakabeka Falls, please call or text the camp at 218-                                                                428-7520 to confirm your pick up time. Where should we purchase our fishing licenses?

The easiest and most efficient way is online, before you come.  Purchase your licence online here. We are located in Zone 6. While there are licensing facilities in both Kakabeka Falls and Thunder Bay, the office hours and wait times may not be ideal for your travel plans. The Canadian Fishing Regulation supplies an annual guide to the rules and regulations for recreational fishing in Ontario. It contains information about recreational fishing licences, open seasons and catch limits, as well as up-to-date fishing regulations for each fishing zone. You can read about the regulations and purchasing here.

what should we bring for food?

All groups are required to supply their own food, including paper products. You can purchase food upon entering Canada in Thunder Bay, or in the United States in Duluth or Two Harbors. Be sure to bring coolers. There is no duty on food supplies going into Canada, but there are a few restrictions on food types and quantities.  You can read about these restrictions here.

what additional supplies should we plan to bring?

Bring all of your own personal clothing, toiletries, and fishing equipment, including live bait. Be certain to pack a sleeping bag and twin bed sheets for each person (except for Cabin #3 that has two double beds), pillow cases, and towels (bath, hand, dish). We supply pillows, blankets, life jackets, seat cushions, minnow buckets, landing nets, and propane grills. Pack all your food supplies and personal items in boxes or suitcases, so nothing is loose for the boat ride into camp. Zip-lock bags for lunches and for packing  your take-home fish is also a good idea. Lastly, do not forget toiletries, sunscreen, insect repellent, first-aid kit, flashlight, sunglasses, compass, camera, playing cards and other things to entertain yourselves in the evening hours.
