accommodations
Our camp offers lodging accommodating up to twenty-three guests. With groups of 16 or more, we will reserve the entire camp for you. Our cabins are wood frame construction with fully equipped kitchens including pots and pans, and cooking and eating utensils. The refrigerators and cooking stoves run on propane gas, while solar panels are used to power the lights. The cabins are equipped with USB ports to power your devices, which are powered by solar as well. Each cabin is equipped with a propane and charcoal grill, and has running water for kitchen and showers. There is also a central shower building with a Finnish Sauna and large changing area.
Pascoe’s at Baril Bay is remote. There is no road access and is only accessible by boat shuttle, which is provided by us. At a prearranged time, we will pick you up at our designated pick up point. From there, it's about a 20 minute ride down the lake to our resort.
We supply the beds and pillows, but plan to bring your own bed sheets (twin) and sleeping bag, pillow cases, personal towels, and kitchen towels and washcloths. There are no laundry facilities on site, so plan enough for your entire trip. We pride ourselves on being remote, but understand our guests still need the ability to connect via mobile device from time to time. Our primary cabin has cellular service which can be used make phone calls and access the internet if required.
Food, beverages, paper items, and soap(s) are your responsibility. Please keep in mind there are restrictions on certain types of foods, and limits of alcohol that can cross the Canadian border. If you wish to purchase additional supplies once across the border, there are a few options as you approach our pick-up location.
We provide deep, 16' aluminum fishing boats equipped with fuel efficient 4-stroke, 15 horsepower motors including one tank of gas per day. We equip each boat with boat seats/cushions, life jackets, landing nets, oars, and an anchor. Our property also features a screened gazebo, yard games, large outdoor fire ring with seating, and fish cleaning facility. Lastly, camp owner - Jim Pascoe, Jr., who has spent the majority of his life fishing all of the lakes near Baril Bay, will be on-site and can assist you at any time by providing help with all aspects of your stay including fishing locations and techniques.
